Chinese guitarist Wenqiu Liu discovered her passion for the guitar at age 19 and has since pursued it with dedication, currently earning a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance at the University of Arizona under Professor Thomas Patterson. She performs as a soloist and with the Tucson Guitar Society Orchestra, bringing warmth and depth to the Romantic repertoire.

Liu has earned recognition at classical guitar festivals in China, including 1st Prize, Adult Division, Qingdao International Guitar Art Festival; 1st Prize, Open Division, Taishan Martini Guitar Competition; 3rd Prize, Open Division, Qingdao International Guitar Art Festival; 2nd Prize, Youth Division, Aldamira Guitar Art Festival, and is equally committed to teaching. Through her undergraduate pedagogy training, she has guided children and amateur players, fostering a love of music in every student. She aspires to build a career that bridges performance and education, sharing the guitar both on stage and in the classroom.
